Anti-use groups have vowed to halt all consumptive use of our natural resources; do not let these liberals decide what is best for our lands and resources.

Outdoor Heritage Coalition (OHC) is a new Montana-based sportsmen group representing the interests of anglers, hunters, ranchers, trappers, and other outdoor enthusiasts who care deeply about the issues that affect our lifestyles.
As a 501(c)(4) organization, the scope of our work exceeds that of conventional non-profit organization in our industry. For example; say a major sportsperson’s group may not lobby against an issue which is harmful to other sportspersons, but the issue does not directly involve the group’s interests. Why would the major sportsperson’s group be reluctant to lobby against an onerous issue related to other sportspersons? For one thing, fear of offending their donation base! Therefore with a donation to OHC from the major Sportsperson’s Group, the OHC would take on the task and the onerous issue would be lobbied against and the major Sportsperson’s Group’s donation base would not be offended.

Thank you for following and please consider supporting us today!

Join us today and help us make a positive impact!

What is the Outdoor Heritage Coalition?

The OHC was incorporated by 5 individuals who were members of Conservation minded groups and saw the need for an upfront/in-your face type organization, which would be proactive rather than reactive. Those individuals are Kris Killorn, Belgrade MT; Jeremey Maus, Gallatin Gateway MT; Ben Erickson, Belgrade MT; Matt Lumley, Emigrant MT and Jim Buell, Gildford MT.
The OHC is a 501 c 4 organization, which is able to do/accomplish items or take care of issues that “normal” non-profit organizations cannot, will not or are reluctant to do.

Also, as a 501 c 4 the OHC can take on a number of issues which 501 c 3’s cannot tackle; such as lobbying an issue for a 501 c 3 which is restricted in the amount of political activity a 501 c 3 can perform or filing a lawsuit when “name recognized” non-profits are reluctant to do so; exposing “green decoy” groups; and bringing to light any wrong doings in today’s society.
The OHC is in its infancy and hopefully will grow into a tool that will be useful to Sportspersons of the United States and the Organizations to which they belong. The OHC is not meant to replace any National Organization or any Organization for that matter; rather the OHC was organized with the intent of becoming the “pit-bull” for those organizations who wished to accomplish something, which they cannot do themselves.
We would be honored if you join us.

Sincerely,

Jim Buell
